VIPkid My New Job!

By now some of you may have heard of VIPkid. In case you haven't it is an online teaching platform. They are currently hiring US teachers to teach Chinese students one on one online. One of the newest changes is that there are no minimums that you have to teach. You can teach as many or as few hours as you would like.

Each class is 25 minutes and you get paid per class. There are a few incentives which allow you to make more but the per class pay is $7-$11 per class so that usually comes out to at least $20+ per hour.

The interview process is pretty simple and very straight forward. The lessons are all prepared and taught in a power point style format.  This is also how the additional mock classes as well as the future classes you will teach are set up. So very little prep for you.

In order to work for VIPkid you must have a bachelors degree and some experience with teaching kids.

Once hired you set your schedule and it can change every week. Now is a great time to get started, especially if you would like to teach more in the summer. This time will allow you to start getting familiar with the process, then open up more available spots this summer.

If you think this would interest you, here is a link for you to get some more information.  I do get a little $ if you use my link. If you use my link I would love to help you in any way through this process! Also feel free to email me if you have questions or leave your email and I will send you more information! 5 for Friday Dad's out of Town

You will want to check out all the fun over at Doodlebugs 5 for Friday link up!

This week the hubs is out in Cali for his annual sales meeting. So we were on our own!

We started our week at the American Girl Doll store. I had sworn I would never pay for "doll" services. But yet there I was for a doll hair do and ear piercing for a doll.

Then we headed over to the happiest place on earth!

We had lunch at the beasts castle. Then we had an amazing ice cream sundae!

Of course we had a great game night! We played the hubs favorite game.. Kerplunk!

She really is awake in this picture. The flash made her close her eyes. But this is us sitting on the driveway in jammies after bed time trying to see the rocket launch. Unfortunately it was scrapped so we will try again tonight.

Giveaway & Halloween

After a super vacation to Mexico I was super happy to be back with my little miss! So we had brunch at Sweet Pete's which is pretty close to Willy Wonka's cafe!

My little miss LOVES her time with her daddy! They carve a pumpkin every year.

What a difference a year makes.

How adorable is this little giraffe? I love the pottery barn costumes.

What cute neighbors!

Make sure you follow our facebook page to catch our weekend giveaways!

Hurricane Matthew Recovery

Every other Friday we have Food Trucks that come to our neighborhood, which can be a life saver since we also have soccer practice on Fridays! Do you like food trucks? This was probably the best EVER! That wrap was amazing!

On Saturday myself and my little headed downtown to see how our little city is healing from hurricane Matthew. We had lunch at Cafe Alcazar which use to be the largest indoor pool! Then we had a bunch of sweets! Kilwin's Chocolates & Hyppo popsicles.

The little missy was thrilled that we got family pedis!

We now live in the same town as my aunt! So she loves to help make memories with my little!

Over on our Facebook page we are working to do a weekly giveaway! All you have to do is like and tag a friend in the post. This week we are giving away our Fall ELA set. Tons of centers as well as great printables! Hope you are all having a great week! Click the picture or head here: https://www.facebook.com/Coast-to-Coast-Kinder-276818862434629/

Hurricane Matthew

Time to link up for 5 for Friday! I am actually reaching back to the last 8-9 days not just this week.

Our big news has been hurricane Matthew! Here were my preparations. My daughter said mentos were very important to have! And these are my new first pair of rain boots!
In St. Augustine FL we had the nor'easter move through and bring tons of rain before Matthew hit us. So knowing we would be stuck inside for awhile every time the rain stopped all the kids would run outside! Once we lost power my hubby cooked for us in the garage on the grill!

We were luckily spared any major damage. But our historic downtown area was hit really hard. This is a before and after picture of one of my favorite streets in town. Also my mom whom blogs here with me lives on Hilton Head. They are still right in the middle of clean up. She evacuated and was away from her house for a week. They were also very lucky and didn't sustain any major damage, but her community did! So please pray for all effected by Matthew!

In my attempt to reclaim normal I got on my elliptical on my lanai. Well I guess this little guy was taking refuge in my elliptical pedal.

After all the craziness and daddy working out of town for the night this is how I found the little one when I went to bed. She is all the way across the center. Anyone else let the littles sleep with them?

Just had to share this book. My daughter still loves it! A very dear friend bought it for her 2nd birthday and we still keep it in the regular rotation! If you don't have it go get it now!!

Hoping things can be calm and boring for awhile around here!

Videos are a fact of life now! But they really can be beneficial to teaching and reinforcing skills.

I know that some of you have already been back in school awhile but others are just starting. But this was great for how to organize all those school supplies!

Thought this was a cute poem to share about Labor Day! Hope you can use some of these! Make sure you go check out everyone that has linked up!!
