Kansas City Meet UP
So as most of you know mom & I blog together. She is a retired teacher and I am still in the classroom! She will be coming to Kansas City to visit soon & help me get my classroom ready. So while she is here we want to plan a meet up so we can reach out and meet some other area bloggers & teachers! We are planning for August 9th. Not yet sure on time or location. Thinking in the afternoon so as to miss the lunch rush! Please let us know if you would be available. You don't have to blog! Anyone that teaches or blogs or both is welcome to come.

Words of Wisdom for New Teachers
So my mind has started to make the shift toward getting ready to head back to school. I wanted to share a few hopefully meaningful tips for 1st year or new teachers.
Pinterest classrooms and lessons take time to appear. "Do not compare your beginning to someone else's middle or end!"Quote unknown but so true. The longer you are in the class the more time you will improve and change the things you do to make them better!
It took me 10 years of being in the same classroom to find the extra time to make this desk look good.
Be nice to everyone! Especially your janitor & secretary. People think the boss of a school is the principal. This is not true. The secretary and the janitor have all the power. If a child is puking in class you need the secretary to send help via the nurse or herself to get the child to the office. Then you need the janitor to clean it up. Now just remember if you haven't been nice to either or them YOU are now in charge of the mess and the child...Bad news!!
At the end of the day you have to go home. So make sure you leave some time and energy to give to those you love. Being a teacher is a labor of love but make sure you save a little time for yourself and your family.

Vegas is Off Mom's Bucket List
Vegas is Off Mom's Bucket List
Mom was determined that she was going to get to Vegas and TpT gave her the perfect reason. So her and I were going but we needed a babysitter for my little one, so my husband came along. So "Nana " made it to Vegas!!!
On Wednesday we grabbed a cab and went over to Circus Circus. The four of us watched the clown act and then we went to play carnival games. We were trying to find ones for an almost 4 year old. The pop the chicken into the pot did not work for the four year old, but her dad made a chicken in the cooking pot and won a stuffed snake.
Because Naomi was tall enough to ride some helicopters and train roller coasters by herself- We made a thrill seeker.
And with 3 darts her Dad made enough points to earn Naomi a giant white tiger.
We could not afford for another plane ticket home or the $150 to mail the tiger home. So Naomi made the decision to give the tiger to the concierges to give to a children's hospital.
This was just our beginning to Tpt Vegas 14. Check back to hear more about our Vegas Adventure!
Prepping for back to school? Need some exclusive nail wraps? These can only be ordered until July 27th! Message me or comment here to get the details! I made these in our NAS Nail Art Studio!

S'More Made it Monday
We are linking up with Tara for her awesome Made it Monday! You should go check out all of the awesomeness over there!
On the 4th of July we always have a party! I love the 4th and always have. As a kid we always had a party at my aunts farm where we had fireworks a cook out swimming and a dog that ate the fireworks. I don't live on a farm or let me dog it the fireworks but we are close to a huge park that has a gigantic display. We are able to see this from our driveway! So this year I was thinking on what my "catchy" thing would be. I have done mini apple pies, red white and blue cake, and various ice cream desserts. So this year I decided to do a S'Mores Bar. No mine wasn't as fancy as the wedding style ones on pinterest but it was nice and we had several guests who had never had a S'More!
We live in the midwest so we had to keep our chocolate covered up and inside in the air conditioning until it was time. So I found those cute trays with lids at Walmart!
This is the city style S'more roasting. You use a store bought log and a small fire pit with long wooden skewers!
In addition to the s'more roasting we also made a s'more bites dessert. It had a graham cracker crust, reeses bite size and half a marshmallow.
What cute fingers!!
The finished product. These went so fast!
These cute toes have nothing to do with S'mores! They were just too cute to not share! She is just as obsessed with Jamberry as I am!
We are so excited to be heading to Vegas this week for the TPT conference hope to see some of you there!

5 for Friday Cruise Edition
As some of you may have seen both parts of Coast to Coast just came back from a Caribbean cruise. We all had a blast! So this week's 5 will be all about the cruise!
This is a selfie on our balcony!
The handsome hubby & my little one in front of that enormous boat!
Sis with Nana(the other coast) and Poppy before fancy dress up dinner!
I wrote Coast to Coast on Orient Beach in St. Marteen. Which is next to a nudist resort. We only saw a few older ladies with no tops.... Which I think was good news! No one ask my mom what she wore another time she was at Orient Beach years ago!!
This girl LOVES the beach!!
We all loved having breakfast with Alex and the others from Madagascar!
By far our best vacation ever! I am so blessed with this family!
Who will we be seeing next week in Vegas? Both of us will also be attending the TPT Conference in Vegas! Leave a message if you are going!
